Seems like not only Hollywood is into rebooting franchises these days. A Chinese Fairy Tale is a reboot of the 1987 A Chinese Ghost Story, which was and still is an awesome film. So far, the action sequences look decent and since it's a reboot, we already know the storyline is superb.
I have no idea what the story is but it looks decent. The fighting styles are probably more stylish than substance but that could be fun to watch too!
The production quality of this film is high. The costumes and sets look beautiful. The storyline is different than the usual fighting fare and is similar to Sherlock Holmes but with wire-work fighting. The fighting sequences are pretty good too.

Not much information about this film has been released yet, including its release date or an accompanying trailer. We do know that it's a remake of the 1960s film "The One-Armed Swordsman" and that it's starring Donnie Yeh, Takeshi Kaneshiro, Tang Wei, and Wang Yu. The firm is directed by Peter Chan.
Fighting sequences are good. Storyline isn't superb but fun nonetheless.
